Internal team operations · Built by StratNovo

Run the whole team from one place.

ValidTeam is the internal operating system StratNovo runs on. People, teams, projects, tasks and goals in one accountable place — with AI that assists the work instead of taking it over.

Board

A board you can actually move through.

Switch projects, drag issues between stages, and keep details close without fake motion or noisy chrome.

No tool-hopping between a tracker, a planning doc, and an agent console. The work moves through a single surface — humans and agents on the same timeline.

Close issues with a real resolution, cut the version, and watch velocity and cycle time update live. Done means done — not a column you forgot to clear.
The workflow

From keystroke to ship — one open backlog.

Plan, execute, and reason over the work in the same surface. Keyboard-first delivery, an AI layer you can audit, and one place where every team, project and task stays accountable.

Keyboard-first boards and sprints

Drive the whole board from one Cmd+K palette — search, navigate, and run actions without leaving the keys. Drag across columns, plan sprints, and read burndown in the same view.

Import from Jira and Linear

Bring work into ValidTeam from a CSV file, Linear, Jira, or GitHub Issues. CSV is fully supported today; the other sources are in preview and may not import every field.

0.4.0

Structured backlog fields

Labels, components, fix versions, and resolutions have first-class database and API models. Enforcement still varies by route.

AI triage & estimates

AI suggestions are preview features and depend on configured provider credentials. Review every suggestion before applying it.

Agents work the backlog

Preview: the source-built MCP package supports 11 tools with organization-bound API keys. OAuth, per-call audit, and public package delivery are not finished.

Realtime collaboration

Yjs collaboration is available when Hocuspocus, its public URL, and matching secrets are configured and smoke-tested.

Analytics close to execution

Velocity, cycle time, and priority mix per project — with a resolution model that separates Done from Won't Fix and Duplicate.

The flow

One thread from intake to shipped.

No tool-hopping between a tracker, a planning doc, and an agent console. The work moves through a single surface — humans and agents on the same timeline.

  1. STEP 01

    Intake without the noise

Issues, requests, and inbound from your agents land in one queue. Triage suggests priority and labels so the backlog starts structured, not as a pile.

  2. STEP 02

    Plan the sprint in place

Pull from the backlog into a sprint, set fix versions and components, and read scope at a glance. Planning lives next to the work, not in a separate doc.

  3. STEP 03

    Build alongside agents

Preview: the source-built MCP package supports 11 tools with organization-bound API keys. OAuth, per-call audit, and public package delivery are not finished.

  4. STEP 04

    Ship and track the outcome

Close issues with a real resolution, cut the version, and watch velocity and cycle time update live. Done means done — not a column you forgot to clear.

AI-assisted

AI that assists the work, never owns it.

AI and agent features are optional, configuration-dependent, and some remain in preview.

  1. Ask your workspace

Ask searches issues and docs today. Semantic retrieval needs an organization-safe embedding provider.

  2. AI triage & estimates

AI suggestions are preview features and depend on configured provider credentials. Review every suggestion before applying it.

  3. Agents behind approval gates

Preview: the source-built MCP package supports 11 tools with organization-bound API keys. OAuth, per-call audit, and public package delivery are not finished.

FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers.

Straight answers about how the team actually runs. If yours is missing, ask your team administrator.

What is ValidTeam?

It is the internal operating system StratNovo runs its team on. Teams, projects, tasks, goals and the AI that assists them all live in one accountable place, instead of being scattered across trackers, docs and chat.

Who uses it?

Everyone on the team. People own their own work, leads plan and review, and leadership reads the same live state instead of asking for a status update.

How does it keep work accountable?

Every issue has an owner, a status and a history. Nothing is a column nobody clears, and cycle time and velocity come straight out of the work rather than a separate report.

Do I need the AI features? Can I bring my own keys?

AI is optional. Bring provider keys; budget controls reduce risk but do not guarantee a spending cap.

How real are the AI features today?

AI suggestions are preview features and depend on configured provider credentials. Review every suggestion before applying it.

What is the MCP server?

Preview: the source-built MCP package supports 11 tools with organization-bound API keys. OAuth, per-call audit, and public package delivery are not finished.

Does it import from Jira or Linear?

Bring work into ValidTeam from a CSV file, Linear, Jira, or GitHub Issues. CSV is fully supported today; the other sources are in preview and may not import every field.

Who can see my data?

Self-hosted application data uses your Postgres. Access controls exist, but coverage still needs review; optional integrations send data only when you configure them.

Still unsure? Read the trust centre or check live service status.
